More Personal Comfort: Want to stay up late? Go right ahead! Swim
24 hours a day because we don't close our pool. Nor do we close our game room - play all
night too if you want. After all, you're on vacation! Want your pet with you? No problem,
bring them along. Want to smoke? All cottages have porches where smoking is allowed. Thank
you for not smoking in the cottages!
Want clean towels? No problem, come get them anytime the office is open.

Fishermen - Low Rates & Entertainment
Blackburns is where many trophy brown trout and striper fishermen stay. Why? Our low
lodging rates. Additionally we're 5 minutes from dining, services, 3 night clubs, and
pizza delivery. We have boat trailer parking, fishing licenses, battery charging, bait,
and tackle. |

More Boating
& Fishing Convenience: We don't send you to town for live bait
or tackle - we have a full line of both live baits and killer tackle right here at the
office - all year around. We have the most fishing and pontoon rental boats of any resort
in the area. We don't send you somewhere else to launch your boat because we have two
launches here. And our dock is the only one on the lake with a security system. For those
bringing their own small craft outboard we give a free 16 foot aluminum fishing
boat. With cabin rental we offer a free boat stall up to 8 feet wide.
Our kitchen cabins allow you to save on vacation meal costs.
More Green For Your Children
&You: The walk to the lake is down a nearly flat road. No steep
slopes to get to the lake - on foot or by car. For a romp in the woods hike our nature
trail which circles around our 24 acres of woods. Enjoy birds and wildlife coming to our
feeders, and a rich diversity of wildflowers.The resort is on city water, but we have a
deep well just for watering our 2 acres of flat, wide-open play field thick with grass,
nice and green all summer. Complete with soccer and baseball field, and a large 21
activity playstation, we have the largest, greenest playground of any family resort in the
area. And its all right next to the swimming pool and cookout pavilion!

We have several guests who are now in their third, and even fourth generation of stays at

Lots
of Butterflies but No Mosquitoes
The area around Blackburns Resort has few if any mosquitoes. While mosquitoes
are present in small numbers in other areas of Norfork Lake, they are not present at our
resort. However, we have planted numerous butterfly bushes on the resort to attract
the little winged beauties. Much to the delight of our guests and ourselves, several
colorful species feed on our butterfly bushes. |
